Jordan's Farm

Wakes Colne

Essex

IMG_2041_edited.jpg

Set amongst 35 beautiful acres in the North Essex village of Wakes Colne sits Jordan's Farm. A haven for wildlife, this small farm has BIG eco ambitions to create a healthier world...

When I first visited Jordan's Farm I was in complete awe. A rewilding project, a flower farm to encourage locally grown bouquets, chickens, goats, owls...and Alex, the woman behind it all.  The eco-driven dream behind Jordan's Farm is one I understand and share. To be able to offer workshops here, alongside a woman with a love of this earth that aligns with my own, is very exciting!

Within this beautiful setting of Jordan's Farm, I will guide you in creating your own individual, striking mono-prints using the surrounding nature as inspiration.  We will walk amongst the farm's acres of land to forage for leaves, feathers and other natural treasures, before taking a seat to pull beautiful prints from them.

Please note that no art experience is necessary, as this workshop is about connecting with nature and yourself through creativity and the truly fun medium of print. It is completely beginner friendly.

We'll be working with non~toxic, animal~friendly, vegetable oil-based inks and by the end of the afternoon, you will have multiple prints from the natural materials foraged from the farm , thus giving you the chance to take a little bit of this beautiful corner of Essex home.

All art materials, freshly brewed tea and coffee and a home-baked sweet treat are included in this workshop.

About Jordan's Farm

Jordan’s Farm is an environmental opportunity for good, where rewilding acres of land sits side by side with flower and foliage farming in a bid to work with, and for, Earth. This ethos is one that runs throughout all that they do at Jordan's Farm, and sustainability is at the very core.

‘Rewilding the Outback’ is Jordan's Farm's contribution to help nurture this planet. Rewilding 21 acres of previously farmed land to help to mitigate climate change and biodiversity loss in the UK. The two are interlinked and must be successfully addressed at every level for our future.

The UK flower industry is growing and Jordan's Farm Foliage & Flowers are part of the revolution. They grow with the seasons, in soil which is nurtured and with minimal impact on the environment. In this way they can use the rest of the land both productively and for nature.

Jordan's Farm want to share their positive actions and welcome you to visit. Join them on a Walk & Talk, attend one of their events or become a Guardian and enjoy money off the many products made and sold by their eco shopping partners.

Spread the word, go a deeper shade of green, learn to value the environment but most of all ENJOY!
