To honour the Spring Equinox, please join me by the sea for a mindful afternoon of creativity and connection.

With Cool Coastal Huts' stunning Mersea Beach Hut 213 as our base, we will begin the afternoon by quietening our thoughts and settling into our beautiful surroundings. As the Earth returns to a place of perfect balance; as day and night, light and dark become equal, we will consider the season of Spring and how it denotes new beginnings, rebirth, growth and reconnection. The Earth is coming to life once more, and so too are we. It's time to awaken from our long winter slumber and step into the sunshine, feeling the warmth, clarity and energy it has to offer us, along with the promise of the days growing longer as the sun grows warmer.

To observe the Spring Equinox, I will guide you in creating your own individual, beautiful mono-prints using the surrounding seaside as inspiration. Please note that no art experience is necessary, as this workshop is about connecting with nature and yourself through creativity and the truly fun medium of print. By the end of the afternoon, you will have multiple prints from seaweed, feathers and other treasures you may find on the sand and amongst the pebbles, thus giving you the chance to take a little bit of this beautiful Essex seaside home. We'll be working with non~toxic, animal~friendly vegetable oil based inks that create beautiful prints.

During the afternoon, we will take some time to sit down and enjoy a locally~made cream tea as we take in the views of beautiful Mersea Island. As time moves on and the sky changes colour, we will end the day by watching the sun set over the horizon, reflecting on this day of balance, with the sea air filling our lungs, clearing our minds and sending us into this new season filled with the energy and true essence of Spring.
